i wrote about the color blue

at least a hundred times

how it painted me and you

and all these written rhymes

so here we are in different hues

here i write these scattered lines

“hands stained in the color blue

kisses lost in the color blue

knees bruised in the color blue

you and me, colored blue

all you saw, the color blue

all i am, the color blue”

but it was never about

the color blue.
