My parents inspire me to do great things
And say hard work achieves deepest desires.
’Cause of Mom and Dad the clouds graze my wings
While they look up and inspire me to reach higher.
Their stories give me purpose for my own;
They have strengthened them and now strengthen me.
I live through their love and all they have shown
To act as bold and brave as they see me.
They ease my worries for the unfolding
Future that holds my actions and dear dreams.
With all occurring and my life molding,
No force impacts me like my king and queen.
In a hundred years when they’re up above,
I’ll remember who taught me how to love.
