What a vulgar affair

The shape of our tongues

Entangled like lascivious snakes

Seeking to lay eggs

As malicious hands gripped our throats

Prying us apart

Though no longer intertwined

Our tongues retained their bitter, twisted shape

Seeking to eat eggs

What a vulgar affair

To have learned

Our tongues were never one in the first place
