winter.

i watched the seasons change.

my hands, blue and cold,

as winter spoke my name.

purple in the summer and spring,

though the sun shone down on me.

autumn came and went too soon,

and just like flowers,

i longed to bloom.

winter dawned once again,

i wished this year long storm to end.

and as the rain fell from the sky,

i looked up and met your eyes.

you touched my hand and then I saw,

the blue turn red and the ice had thawed.

now I long for winter’s touch,

to feel your warmth,

to feel this love.
