We’ve been hard at work the past month at RevenueCat. I just wanted to share (brag) about some of what we’ve been working on.

Introductory Pricing

RevenueCat now fully support introductory pricing and even handles eligibility calculation for you.

In iOS 11.2 Apple added support to StoreKit for introductory pricing periods in addition to free trials. RevenueCat now fully supports pay as you go, pay up front, as well as free trial introductory price types.

To support this, version 0.9.0 of the iOS SDK is now available. It includes a new method call to determine if a user is eligible for introductory pricing or the free trial period.

I wrote more about introductory prices here.

Lowering Our Fee

After hearing a lot of your feedback, we’ve decided to lower our fee from 3.5% to 2.5%. You can see more details on the pricing section of the website.

New Charts and Metrics

We shipped new metrics and charts to see your subscriber data in real time.

We just pushed a new update to the RevenueCat web app that lets you see charts of subscribers and revenue.

The web app has also been redesigned to make room for exciting new developments in the pipe.

RevenueCat App Showcase — Feedless

Congrats to Ryan Orbuch on shipping Feedless, an iOS content blocker that removes the feeds from Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram.

Feedless offers feed blocking on Facebook for free and individual $9.99 annual RevenueCat powered subscriptions to remove the feeds from Twitter or Instagram. Subscriptions work well in this case considering the work required to keep the blocker up to date with the latest web site changes.

Feedless is available now in the App Store.
