The SEO7 System: A Fundamental Approach to Organic Search Engine Ranking

What is the SEO7 System?

The SEO7 is our approach to achieving effective search engine ranking and website authority. Over the years, we’ve refined the system and defined a set of seven essential methods that would accomplish long-term results for our clients. Every step of the SEO7 is foundational; they are fundamental for generating organic leads.

In this article, we describe the difference between the seven methods and the order that we implement them

The SEO7 system serves as a loop.

1. STRATEGY

Everything starts from a strategy. Without a strategy, it’s impossible to go from point A to point B.

A Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategy determines a plan of action to improve the online presence of a business, brand, or organization website. The process involves gaining a clear understanding of the business/brand goals, its priorities, value proposition, assessing competitors, and developing a keyword strategy.

On a high level, goals for SEO campaigns are typically focused on one or more of the following areas: brand or product awareness, audience engagement, lead conversion, or subject matter expertise.

Strategies that fail to address everything that was mentioned above will not produce the intended results. It serves as a roadmap on how each action should be performed and creates a competitive advantage.

2. CONTENT

Content comes in a variety of formats. It can be text, photo, video, audio, charts, and pretty much everything that is included in visual, auditory, or written form on a website.

Written content that is useful and relevant to the target audience is the most essential component of SEO. It should include natural language, considering language semantics and context for why it’s important.

We think of website content as an essay. There are one overarching topic and several subtopics. There is an introduction, supporting facts, and a conclusion. That’s how your website should be structured. The only difference is that, with a website, it invites action rather than just giving your opinion.

The types of content chosen for a website must be done methodically because it can impact a variety of things: a user’s experience on your website; their understanding of the brand, products, and service; as well as how easily a website can be found on search engines.

3. DESIGN

When we refer to design in terms of SEO7, it is every aspect of visual communication such as graphic design, user interface (UI), user experience (UX), usability, accessibility, and device responsiveness. All of this contributes to the brand’s identity and visitors’ desire to navigate through the website to find what they need.

Google’s algorithms also focus on key visual factors such as intrusive interstitials (things like pop-ups that get in the way and can’t be closed), and mobile-friendliness. If your design does not properly incorporate these factors, it will affect your SEO significantly.

Just like the art in a museum tells viewers a story through colors, or music speaks to listeners through sounds, similarly, the design of a website speaks to the viewers through colors, layout, spacing, typography, and animation.

The website must be intuitive, easy to read, literally, and visually.

4. SPEED

Page speed determines the amount of time it takes for a website to load and become available for the user. Some of the factors that can impact a website’s speed include network problems, server configuration, caching, render-blocking resources, number of plugins used, and uncompressed or locally hosted files.

Google considers two main factors when deciding whether a website’s speed is optimal for high ranking or not. These are “page load time” and “interactivity.” Page load time means how long it takes for a website to fully display its content. Interactivity determines the amount of time it takes for the content to be ready for the user to interact with.

It has become a part of our lifestyle to use mobile applications and browse through several websites daily. When a web page loads slowly, a website loses a large chunk of its audience, and a competitor website gains more traffic.

5. SECURITY

Website security is to implement tactics to protect a website or a web application through monitoring, prevention, detection, and resolution of attacks over the Internet.

This entails keeping website data and customer information safe from malware, leakage, viruses, and cyber threats. Security breaches can take place on the website server or the network as well.

Security has become a crucial component in search engine ranking. Since the number of websites on the internet keeps increasing every day, search engines and web browsers are consistently enhanced to protect their users from visiting potentially vulnerable online resources.

So even if a business or organization has great products, services, and content, it can be overlooked by its audience because of security problems, most of which are invisible.

Many websites have low ranking in search engines, browsers, and security software because their consistently updated algorithms detect possible security problems on the backend.

6. REPUTATION

With the SEO7, reputation management is the process of using online resources to influence the target audience’s beliefs or opinions of the business or brand.

Establishing a reputation is the first step of building an online presence. This is created by generating industry expertise, sharing valuable information, collecting positive opinions, and creating engagement with target audiences.

Building an online image can be a lengthy process, and it is easy to destroy. For this reason, consistent monitoring is important. Negative feedback, and bad or irrelevant links can decrease or even ruin website authority.

7. MEASUREMENT

Measurement involves analyzing the status of quantifiable numbers at the beginning of an SEO campaign in comparison to what has shifted over time. This includes everything from the goals defined in the strategy phase, the content, and design, and the website’s speed, security, and reputation.

The purpose for measurement in SEO relates to search engine ranking, conversions, engagement, and website authority.

The SEO7 system serves as a loop. All of the aspects that we’ve described are ineffective without measurement, and, at the same time, measurement is useless without adjustments.

Tracking and measurement serve as feedback for adjusting the strategy; then the loop starts again. This process is endless since algorithms continue to evolve, and trends are continuously changing.
