HRR216PKA Honda Lawn Mover Review
Released in 2018, the HRR216PKA Honda Lawn Mower is a push type lawn mower designed for ease of access and comfort while still allowing you to control the mower while walking.
The HRR216PKA model comes with a 3 in 1 with Clip Director, Reliable Honda GCV160 engine with Auto Choke System, and a Twin Blade MicroCut System. The manufacturer’s suggested retail price is $439 from honda.com. If you want to buy the mower in person, work outlets like Home Depot and others can sell there, though prices may vary. There are many other lawn mowers made by Honda, including the rest of the HRR series if this one does not work for you.
Honda lawn mowers are compared frequently to Toro lawn mowers. While both will work relatively the same if you buy the same type of mower, like the push mower featured below, most Toro mowers are cheaper, between $200 and $400. You can buy them from retailers like Ace Hardware or Walmart, but Toros are not as reliable as Honda mowers.
The mower does not have larger wheels in the back than the front, so pushing is more difficult and will not move as easily over bumpy, uneven ground. Asides from this, there is little to complain about.
The mower cuts evenly and the dual blade mulches grass to very small pieces, insuring that cut grass will not sit atop growing grass so that it can sink to the bottom and create a mulch. The wheels have eight adjustable cutting heights for different seasonal cuttings.
The Honda engine, known for being reliable and easy to start, is a 160cc motor and has plenty of power for cutting thick, wet grass. It comes with an automatic choke, making it easier to start without having to manually adjust it.
The 3 in 1 feature allows for mulching, bagging, or side discharge, various options for better grass disposal. You can easily change bagging mode to mulch mode with a switch for convenience which is very different from most older models of lawn mowers.
The HRR216PKA is a lawn mower worth investing in if you like exercising while you get your yard work done and I highly recommend it.
