Artist Showcase: “Design Future”, Meta Universe Architect Anna Andronova Joined Revival “Medici Support Program”
Anna Andronova, the founder of “Super-Dimensional Meta Universe,” also known as the first generation of Meta Universe Russian architects who won the bid and built a landmark in China, joined Revival “Medici Support Program.”
Anna was born in Russia in 1993 and graduated from the Bartlett School of Architecture, the University of London in the United Kingdom. After graduation, she taught in many design universities in London, Moscow, Hangzhou, and other places. At the age of 25, Anna won the international construction competition in Chengdushe; in the same year, she settled in China and opened DA! Architect studio with her partner Sun Lidong.
With her multidimensional spatial imagination and exquisite and romantic creation methods, her works have fascinated audiences worldwide. As an artistic architect, she’s good at using artistic hand-painting to conceive and express her unique design style in art installation, urban design, and the ultra-dimensional virtual world. In her works, she interprets a unique creative vision by combining nature’s pure beauty and surrealism. Meanwhile, Anna has won many international design awards; her artworks have been exhibited in the Royal Academy of Art in London, the National Gallery of Rome, Hangzhou Park Space.
Anna is not only an architect and artist but also a visionary of the future. Anna started her Meta Universe exploration in 2016 and created her first “Meta Universe” architectural work named “Digital Renaissance.” At present, the Meta universe is getting more and more popular among all levels.
In Anna’s view, everything in the world happens in the brain, imagination is boundless, and human beings are an actual Meta Universe. The digital universe created by humanity will reach unprecedented complexity as the evolution progress goes on. In the meantime, it will merge with the planet’s natural environment without any boundaries. Anna envisions that people will live in extra-dimensional space in the future and how our lives will change when there are no gravity restrictions and laws in this new era. In this case, we will also view and understand the entire Earth civilization history from a brand new perspective.
“Creating new buildings and new worlds is my true mission.” For example, Anna has transformed her design philosophy from traditional to digital innovation, taking immersive social interaction functions architecture design. For example, a real-time interactive NFT gallery with social functions is achieved in her first project, “Super Dimensional Meta Universe.”
“In the integration era of AI, social activities, and natural forces, I envisioned a future city that combined reality and virtuality. In this new world, the building shapes can be very vivid and free and then form the wild civilization in the end. Since then, I have been studying the “physical-digital,” a new world into which humans may migrate soon.”
“In my childhood, I used to spend a long time building my city with cardboard. Although my grandma threw these cardboard models were into the fireplace every year, I still enjoyed and immersed myself in the story imagination. Architecture is a subject worthy of further study. I am very grateful for the abundant knowledge that I obtained from my studies. Architects is a fundamental profession with a long history; besides basic architectural functions, architecture includes technology, politics, economics, and other elements that shape our lives. At present, we are studying and constructing the architectural Meta Universe.”
Anna also held a very positive attitude towards blockchain economy and decentralized creation when she got to know it through the Meta Universe.
“Although there is still a lot of gray space, a great idea requires a lot of thinking and practicing until it blooms. It is almost like a new philosophy or a new world order, far beyond the mechanism we rely on now, and the NFT is just a prequel to the Meta Universe.”
