Going into the 2020 Presidential Election, we asked Gen Hip Hop what makes them want to learn more about a political candidate. Their #1 response: “When they talk about issues that affect my friends and I directly.” With mental health, climate change, and racial profiling being the most concerning issues facing this gen, the political candidates who address these matters as they impact the youth will surely win the support of young voters.
