In the intro of our GEN HIP HOP study, we define GHH through various psycho- and demo- graphics. Making up half of the U.S. youth population (those ages 13–34 who rank Hip Hop within their top three most-listened-to genres of music), GEN HIP HOP represents America’s largest listening audience.

But what distinctive qualities does GHH embody as people? As our findings indicate, GEN HIP HOP is diverse (46% are POC), politically-active (73% plan to vote this year),entrepreneurial (57% describe themselves as “success-driven”), brand-loyal (91% spend on brands they love), and highly influential — a topic we’ll expand on in our nextStat Of The Week… Stay tuned!
