Layoffs and Golf

I learned many aspects of life while on a golf course ……. here is one of them in the present context of sr employees layoff (ET: Cognizant lays off 200 senior executives http://www.ecoti.in/qhTrRa). Golf courses are lush green real estate where freshness gets in with the first step on it….. the golf Courses generally have very old trees… branches spread out, many times obstructing the view for an ace player like me who now have a reason for not scoring. The landscape looks shabby with inconsistent of growth leaves/flowers on those branches and haphazard organic growth. This is because, as I am told, the trunk is not able to supply nutrient enough to branches that have grown thick over time and disperse all over. Branches hardly contribute to the well-being of the tree. So the gardener every few years will get up the tree with a saw and let those branches go when the summer season is about to get over. Though it looks quite brutal during the act but posts a few months in winters new healthy branches start blooming. In a couple of years, those trees add so much value, in this case, ornamental value for the golf course

is it humane to see human and trees with the same lens? Why not as both are living beings or maybe not because human emotion can be seen, felt and written and propagated to others to be aware. What is your thought on emotion versus outcome ?
