The Waterfall
A poem

High up from the hard cliff
I come crashing down
In a splendid white cascade
Clothed in misty spray
Gushing, roaring and plunging
Steeply down the hill
Eroding, gnawing the soft rocks
Carving out a vertical fall
Deep deep into the plunge pool
To flow calmly thence
As if I never fell
You may find me terrifying
Or majestic and awe-inspiring
Hark! I am the mighty waterfall…
