Veil Of Bliss

A poem — renewing one’s lease on life

Aloft, at last
spreading wide, my wings
the dance I dance, so rarely
stretching out,
laying flat on my back,
floating with eyes closed,
my plim-souled remorse,
nevermore,
my angel heart hovering,
savoring pristine air
where previously
I had choked.

Roll the rock away;
bleed all sorrow from my veins,
my harmony resonates,
the veil of bliss,
enchanted sisters re-key all my locks,
wiping smudges from my favorite sunglasses,
emancipation from my pitiless cavern,
time-nicking, listening
to the soul claps resolving,
(finally)
like raindrops on my face.
