Ten Reasons Why This Is A Mind-Blowing Easter

How many reasons can you think of as to why this is a mind-blowing Easter? Tell the Lord. Share those things with your friends. Amaze yourself all over again.

The Lord regenerated me when I was twenty-five years old. Though that was a long time ago, I’m still amazed at His profound grace in my life. Paul’s words to his friend Timothy are regular reminders to me of God’s great mercy.

The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost. But I received mercy for this reason, that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display his perfect patience as an example to those who were to believe in him for eternal life. — 1 Timothy 1:15–16 (ESV)

The good Lord said, “Yes” to me. He said, “I want you.” He took me, washed me, and showed me unbelievable mercy. After all this time, I have yet to get over His amazing gift of salvation.

But It’s Better

As good as my regeneration was, the thing that has impressed me the most about my Lord is His persevering grace after He pulled me out of a horrible pit.

He drew me up from the pit of destruction, out of the miry bog, and set my feet upon a rock, making my steps secure. — Psalm 40:2 (ESV)

Ten Reasons to Love God

  1. He declared you not guilty.
  2. He released you from your shame.
  3. He chose to forget your wrongs.
  4. He cares for your soul.
  5. He connected you to His body.
  6. He leads you in paths of righteousness.
  7. He forgives you all post-salvation sins.
  8. He perseveres with you.
  9. He fights for you.
  10. He calls you His friend.
This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him and saved him out of all his troubles. — Psalm 34:6 (ESV)
PO Ten (10) Reason I Love God 1

His regeneration was profound, and I would never minimize the day He declared me not guilty and adopted me into His family. But it has been His persevering grace after salvation that regularly boggles my mind. He forgave me the day we met, and He has been faithful to forgive me ever since (1 John 1:9).

Then there is Easter — a profound reminder of the length the Lord went to give me the transcendent benefits of salvation.

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits. — Psalm 103:2 (ESV)

And then there is heaven — the place where I can adore Him forever.

Then I looked, and I heard around the throne and the living creatures and the elders the voice of many angels, numbering myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands, saying with a loud voice,
Worthy is the Lamb who was slain,
to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might
and honor and glory and blessing!
And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying,
To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb
be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever.
Revelation 5:11–13 (ESV)
