Game 1 of the 2013 Stanley Cup finals was a long, long, long battle that needed a double deflection in the 3rd overtime to give the Chicago Blackhawks a 4–3 win over the Boston Bruins.

Andrew Shaw, who was the last person to touch the puck, was wearing a microphone so his celebration was recorded.

Shaw kept professing his love for Dave Bolland, who deflected the puck first — “Bollie, I love you.” Plus, he professed his love for his shinpads, which aided in the game-winning score — “I love shinpads.”

Shaw should be mic’ed up more often as he is also known to throw out death threats to opposing players.
