Nationals Backstop Net Rip

Have you ever watched a baseball game and laughed when people behind home plate flinch when a ball comes towards because they forget they are sitting behind protective netting? It’s always hilarious.

What if that netting wasn’t so protective?

That’s what happened to one fan at Nationals Park Saturday night who was hit in the shoulder by a baseball that ripped the backstop netting.

If Baseball Gods existed, they would’ve allowed that ball to hit the lady to the left instead. On her phone and not even looking towards the field, die-hard Natinals.

One fan who was sitting a few rows behind the victim posted this picture on Twitter.
