Chad Johnson Ruins Plea Deal, Sentenced To Jail After Ass Slap

Former NFL wide receiver Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson was sentenced to 30 days in jail for violating his probation on Monday morning.

The real story is how Johnson screwed up a plea deal that would’ve avoided jail time. According to TMZ, when the judge asked Chad if he was satisfied with his attorney — Johnson reached back and playfully slapped his lawyer’s ass.

That slap angered judge Kathleen McHugh, who immediately rejected the deal. McHugh says Johnson wasn’t taking things seriously enough, even after he apologized. McHugh also extended Johnson’s probation for three months.

Johnson was in court because he violated his probation by failing to meet with probation specialists on Feb. 15 and March 15. He also failed to show proof of enrollment and completion of a batterers intervention program. Johnson’s legal trouble started when he pleaded no contest to head-butting his former wife, Evelyn Lozada, during an argument in August. The “Basketball Wives” star immediately filed for divorce after barely a month of marriage.
