The College Baseball season kicked off yesterday and one of the feature games on ESPN was 9th-ranked Florida State hosting the University of Rhode Island. In the bottom of the 6th, umpire Bruce Ravan tried to signal that a Florida State player was hit by a pitch. Unfortunately for Ravan, that call started a chain reaction that caused him to stumble and eventually land face first. The stumble took an unusually long time — 2.6 seconds by our clocks.

Damn showboating umpires, always trying to make the game about themselves.
