Curt Schilling Tells Reporter To “Shut The Hell Up” After 38 Studios Auction

The fall of Curt Schilling’s 38 Studios gaming company has been well documented. The bankrupt company has been auctioning off their assets in an effort to pay back the $75 million tax-payer backed financing package from the Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation. Last night, the public was able to see what was left of the 38 Studios Providence-based headquarters in a public auction that included high-end rolling chairs valued at around $700, 400 PC workstations, and items from Schilling’s personal office like an elliptical workout machine. The lavish spending by the failed company caused local NBC 10 reporter Bill Rappleye to challenge Schilling to go “on the record” about the spending. A heated Twitter exchange ensued:

I beg to differ Curt. Every tax paying Rhode Island (like myself) who could be on the hook for over $100 million [with interest] because of that loan, wonders why the company had spent like this.

Rappleye easily won this battle by TKO, three crushing knockouts! What is up with the “do you really ‘work’ in the media?” question? Does he not see that Rappleye’s twitter handle is @NBC10_Bill?? Does Schilling think he’s just arguing with just a big fan of the NBC station. What an ass.

Schilling’s personal office included a personal bathroom with shower and the before mention elliptical machine. Which judging by Curt’s recent “larger” appearance, has probably never been used.
