The New York Post didn’t miss the opportunity to get a couple of fat jokes in on Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter, who seems to have been eating well while recovering from the broken ankle he suffered in Game 1 of the ALCS.
Headline read:
“DEREK EATER: Rehabbing Jeter takes fork in the road to recovery.”
Jeter was spotted at a South Beach hotel Thursday wearing a walking boot on the injured ankle and looking uncharacteristically large in the bread basket.
The caption also had this gem, “gone from hunk to chunk”
