Dikembe Mutombo Should Be In Every GEICO Commercial

Former basketball star Dikembe Mutombo just proved to me that he is the best pitchman out there. GEICO’s new commercial features the seven-footer blocking everything from pieces of crumbled up paper to a cereal box.

After every rejection, Mutombo gives his customary finger shake and Cookie Monster-like voice saying, “no, no, no!”

I can’t hear Mutombo voice without thinking about the urban legend that Mutombo once walked into a party while at Georgetown and screamed out, “who wants to sex Mutombo!”

Sidenote: One of my favorite basketball jerseys is a white Philadelphia Sixers Mutombo jersey from when he was on the team during their 2000 NBA Finals run.
