Eli Manning Goofs On Chris Mortensen

ESPN is on location at Duke University as Peyton Manning and Eli Manning are participating in some preseason workouts with quarterback guru David Cutcliffe, who coached both players in college and is the current head football coach for the Blue Devils.

ESPN’s Chris Mortensen was interviewing both brothers after a workout and when the conversation turned to the Broncos’ addition of Wes Welker this offseason, Peyton Manning started to uncharacteristically laugh on camera. What was not shown on television is brother Eli having some fun with Mort’s appearance which caused Peyton to break out in laughter. Here is a blow-by-blow of the antics.

At the beginning of the segment, you can see Mortensen looking his normal, clean-cut self asking Peyton Manning a question.

After Peyton first started to laugh, the camera operator panned back and we can see that Mort is sporting a double popped collar.

Eli took it one step further by gently rubbing Mort’s head but for whatever reason this moment didn’t cause Peyton to crack.
