According to multiple reports (including UK’s Mirror), the Libyan fighter who captured Moammar Gadhafi on Thursday was wearing a Yankees cap.
For most sports writers this gives us a great basis to setup some Yankees’ jokes.
“So this is what Yankees fans do when their team goes home early in October? George Steinbrenner would be proud — even if the cap is a knockoff.” — Wallace Matthews’ ESPN.com
But the frontage of the New York Post takes the cake…
“Gunman had more hits than A-Rod” — So Great. But to be fair, A-Rod had two hits in the 2011 ALDS.
By the way, how the hell do you spell Gaddafi/Khadafy’s name?
