Lil Wayne Is Racist For Thinking Oklahoma City is Racist

Is denying a last minute request for four courtside tickets to an NBA Playoff game an act of racism? If you’re Lil Wayne it is.

Here is a tweet from Lil Wayne just moments before the start of Game 3 of the Oklahoma City Thunder hosting the San Antonio Spurs in the Western Conference Finals.

OKC Team Spokesman Dan Mahoney responded the following day with a little more insight.

“We just didn’t have the seats available. It’s that simple: supply and demand. We offered him other locations and probably could have accommodated him. We’ve had other celeb

rities courtside when it was available. In this case, for a playoff game, there were none available.”

So it doesn’t seem that Wayne was denied getting into the arena, it seems that the Thunder organization didn’t have tickets or didn’t want to relocate fans that had already purchased tickets for a celebrity that doesn’t even claim to be a fan of the team. Can you remember him being at a OKC home game in their 4 year existence? However even after the Game 3 snub, Thunder star Kevin Durant offered up his 2 courtside tickets for Game 4 (two tickets short of the original request).

Durant’s ticket offer was not enough for Wayne to let this thing go.

“It’s the players stepping up but of course the players aren’t white. I don’t want to be sitting there on behalf of you and I’m sitting next to a (person) that’s like ‘I don’t want this (guy) sitting next to me.’ (Forget) you … I’m in Forbes,” he said, laughing.

This is why most people can’t stand celebrities because they live in a world where being a raging asshole is acceptable. What does that quote even mean? Wayne, did you ever think that maybe to most people over the age of 25, you aren’t as big of a celebrity as you think. I don’t give a shit how much money you have.

Claiming that race played a part of this situation is racist itself. I would even tell you that Wayne is an active class discriminator thinking that he should get preferential treatment based on his wealth.

Who knows why OKC didn’t bend over backwards for the rapper but its not like you are seeing the cast of Glee sitting courtside or the nominees for CMT’s Country Album of the Year, or some other overly “white” group of people.

In fact, until you see Vanilla Ice sitting courtside in OKC check that racism bullshit at the door.
