ESPN’s NFL Live showed footage of Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch laughing hysterically immediately following Russell Wilson’s Super Bowl losing interception to the New England Patriots. The clip is towards the end of the video which also includes Pete Carroll’s interview with Matt Lauer discussing the play.

Some Lynch defenders say that he was just laughing at the ridiculousness of the situation and was in complete shock of what just happened. Bullshit.

Lynch was outwardly laughing, a literal LOL situation, which he knew would be picked up by the cameras. It was almost seems like he was happy that the interception happened. He was reacting to someone on the sidelines, like he predicted an interception if a passing play was called. If I could interpret the laugh it would sound like this — “Fuck You, you should’ve let me run.”

Here is a fun fact about Marshawn Lynch, he loves the media. Lynch loves the attention. Sure, he may act like he doesn’t want to answer questions. Yes, he will give the same answer 25 times. Tell me what individual player was discussed more than Marshawn Lynch during Super Bowl media week? His — “I’m just doing this so I won’t get fined” — quote became so mainstream that Tiger Woods and Katy Perry recited it in their own press conferences.
