Nasty Crash At Daytona Injures 28 Spectators

The day before the 2013 Daytona 500, the Nationwide series kicked off their season with the 2013 Drive4COPD race. The final lap featured a dramatic multi car crash that sent rookie Kyle Larson’s car flying into the air and crashing into the fence separating the track from the spectators. 28 people in the stands suffered injuries but luckily none of them were life threatening.

I’ve been to every type of professional sporting event, except NASCAR. This is why. Watching the cars travel at 200mph sounds cool, catching a tire with my face doesn’t.
