No Luck Needed — MLB DFS for April 14th, 2016

On to the picks…

Pitchers
Ian Kennedy ($8,300) @ Houston Astros

To be clear, I hate all of these pitching matchup tonight. That is a main reason why I recommend not placing big bets on tonight’s games. Kennedy has had relative good success against the Astros, in a small sample size.

Marcus Stroman ($9,000) vs New York Yankees

I can’t believe I’m picking a pitcher who needs a breathing coach to keep his emotions in check. Boy, tonight sucks. Stroman has had success against the Yankees in the past but, yikes.

Catchers
Miguel Montero ($3,000) vs Cincinnati Reds

Montero has been sneaking good this year averaging over 12 FPPG.

1st Base
Eric Hosmer ($4,800) @ Houston Astros

Hosmer has good career stats against Astros’s starter Doug Fister.

2nd Base
Ben Zobrist ($3,900) vs Cincinnati Reds

Nothing special about Zobrist, except his Chicago Cubs have been destroying the Reds in this series and Zobrist bats 3rd in the lineup.

3rd Base
Mike Moustakas vs Houston Astros

Another Royal who has hit Doug Fister well. Is Fister about to get Fisted tonight? Zing.

Shortstop
Alcides Escobar vs Houston Astros

*insert Fister/Fisted joke.

Outfield
Jose Bautista vs New York Yankees

Joey Bats [Flips].

Jason Heyward vs Cincinnati Reds

No outfielders are jumping off the page tonight so just try and get some value. Heyward has a good pitching matchup against the Reds and the Cubs have been scoring runs in bunches.

Nomar Mazara vs Baltimore Orioles

Sometimes you take a guy based on the Fantasy salary you have left and their lineup position. Mazara is batting 4th and facing a shaky Chris Tillman. That’s enough for me.
