We are just a couple of games into the 2016 MLB Baseball season but our Daily Fantasy Game skills are in mid-season form, aka I’m on fire. We’ve decided to bring you along on our journey to see our strategy as a normal, but profitable, MLB DFS player.

Here is our lineup for Monday, April 11th 2016. Make sure you check back frequently as we make changes constantly, which is key to a successful DFS tournament.

Pitchers
Max Scherzer [$13,100] vs Atlanta Braves

Yes, you must shell out the big (fake) bucks for Scherzer. He is facing the second worst-offense of this young season and he is coming off an opening day performance that featured 7 strikeouts. Lifetime against the Braves, he has held them to a .216 batting average and 30% of his at-bats have resulted in a strikeout.

Jarred Cosart ($6,100) vs New York Mets

I don’t feel great about this pick but I’m playing the numbers and looking at the Mets terrible offense more than Cosart’s ability. The Mets have the worst offensive in the league right now and have a serious case of the World Series hangover. The Mets two big hitters, Wright and Cespedes, have a tough righty/righty matchup.

Catcher
Wilson Ramos ($3,300) vs Atlanta Braves

Ramos has a pretty decent average (.375) against Bud Norris and will be playing at home tonight.

1st Base
Ryan Zimmerman ($3,900) vs Atlanta Braves

Another guy who has a really good average (.353) against Bud Norris and more importantly has hit 3 HRs and 9 RBIs in just 17 at-bats.

2nd Base
Rougned Odor ($3,600) vs Seattle Mariners

Odor has a lifetime average of .417 against his pitching matchup of Hisashi Iwakuma tonight. *****He is coming off a day of rest but this is a position that I may take another look at as we get closer to game time.

3rd Base
Kris Bryant ($4,800) vs Cincinnati Reds

The young 3rd base has already had two multi-hit games this year. He should have a nice game at home.

Shortstop
Zack Cozart ($3,200)

Cozart is off to a strong start to the season with a .945 OPS and averaging 7.5 DraftKings fantasy points per game. He is also in the leadoff spot which gives him an opportunity to have 4–6 at-bats.

Outfield
Bryce Harper ($4,900)

No brainer

Michael Taylor ($3,400)

Another leadoff guy going against an average pitcher. Yes, please

Colby Rasmus ($3,400)

The only thing that I’m like about this selection is that Colby is batting cleanup. ***Might get changed.

DraftKings MLB 2016 Season Winnings: $26
