Not only are the New York Knicks trying to trade for Carmelo Anthony but now they’ve teamed up with YouTube sensation Keenan Cahill to rally support for the team. The Knicks have one of the lowest attendances this season. [Keenan Cahill — Go NY Go!]

No New York, No New York No!

Welcome to RidethePine.com, lets talk sports!

Growing up I had one big sports dream. That dream involved me dunking a basketball in a regulation game. Sadly that dream never came true. Sadly for Boston Celtics forward Glen “Big Baby” Davis that dream became a nightmare.

The behind the scenes drama of Super Bowl XLV continues, as the NFL struggles to satisfy the over 400 hundred fans that were displaced because their seats were deemed unsafe at the Super Bowl. An embarrassed NFL first offered the fans $2,400, which is three times the face value of those tickets, plus tickets to next year’s game. The second option is tickets to any future Super Bowl with airfare and hotel accommodations paid for. The newest offer is for up to $5,000 in cash. At this point I would just wait for the fourth option that would include Cameron Diaz feeding you popcorn.

Tiger Woods has found himself in hot water, and no not that hot water that includes bikini-clad waitresses, hot water over the fact that he spit on the green in a tournament in Dubai. Come on Tiger, didn’t you learn anything from your mistresses. It is much more respectful to swallow.

Boston Celtics guard Rajon Rondo has been going to the Kevin Garnett school of how to be annoying. Jeff Van Gundy doesn’t think its funny that Rondo tried to spy on the Miami Heat’s huddle. You don’t think its funny Jeff? Was it funny when you hugged onto Alonzo Mourning’s leg during his fight with Larry Johnson? That wasn’t funny, just sad.

Here are a couple things to check out while your on the pine.

  • St. Louis Cardinals first baseman Albert Pujols having a contract deadline is one thing, Philadelphia Phillies manager Charlie Manuel doing the same thing is a whole other deal. Hey Charlie, why don’t you just get through the season not messing up the greatest pitching rotation in the history of baseball.
  • Donald Trump is a potential buyer of the New York Mets which has all of baseball excited for the first ever Bobblehead Wig Night!
