Olympic Bobsledder Steve Mesler Still Carries Around Gold Medal

TMZ caught Olympic Gold Medalist, Steve Mesler, around New York City and asked if he gets chicks because of his accomplishments in the 2010 Winter Olympics. Mesler, without missing a beat, reaches around for his backpack and proceeds to pull out the gold medal and talk about how his friends love showing it off when they go out. But he doesn’t.

Ok, sure.

Obviously, he is just trying to play it cool. Don’t you think the girls see you pull the medal out of your backpack and hand it to your bros? The smart move would be to make a nice little area in your home that is kind of subtle but DEFINITELY viewable by a guest. No spotlight. I would invite a couple of people over for some late night activities and let them see it on their own. Then it would be like fish in a barrel.

TMZ rips into this guy for being a “douche” for carrying his medal around. I would be worried that someone would steal my bag or I would leave it somewhere.
