Rays Give Mariano Rivera A Sandcastle That Looks Nothing Like Him

See the resemblance? Neither do I.

The Tampa Bay Rays gave Yankees closer Mariano Rivera and odd gift in his final trip to their ballpark, a sandcastle…that looks nothing like him. I’m pretty sure the sculpture has a beard.

How do you give the gift of a sandcastle? He ain’t flying that pile of sand home. Might as well have adopted a sting ray in the wild.

It’s the thought that counts…I guess.
