Is saying “Like A Boss” still cool?
Anyway, the Boston Red Sox beat the New York Yankees 4–2 in the first game after the All-Star break. In the top of the 4th inning, Brett Gardner fouled a ball off to the 3rd baseline stands and a fan made an amazing one-handed grab.
What makes the catch so spectacular is that the ball was a bullet towards the crowd and the fan just stood up, caught the ball and acted as if nothing happened.
You don’t get much more American than having a bag of peanuts in one hand, catching laser-beam foul balls with your other hand while watching the Yankees/Red Sox at Fenway Park.
I bet in the 5th inning this fan busted out a yellow Walkman with a cassette single of Born in the USA.
