All in all I would say that these NFL replacement refs are doing swell, if you define swell as sucking on a big pile of poo. The ending of the Seattle Seahawks victory over the Green Bay Packers on Monday Night Football has to be one of the most controversial moments in the history of football.

The Seahawks just launch a Hail Mary towards the end zone in the finals seconds of the 4th quarter with the Packers leading 12–7. It seems that Green Bay’s M.D. Jennings get possession of the ball over Seattle’s Golden Tate, who barely gets a hand on it. The moment of truth happens when the two officials glance at each other and one’s hands go up to signal the play dead and the other calls a touchdown.

Possession on the catch is not a reviewable call, so the review only confirmed that the ball did not hit the ground.

Seahawks win.
