Sleepy Royals Fan Struggles Through Wild Card Win

Poor Kansas City Royals fan. This dude has been waiting 30 years for a playoff victory and he slept through one of the most exciting plays of the game.

You can’t blame the guy. The Royals 9–8 Wild Card victory over the Oakland A’s was closing in on the 5 hour mark and when this screengrab happened the Royals were trailing by one run in the bottom of the 12th. Eric Hosmer hit this triple and was subsequently knocked in by Christian Colon for the victory (below).

Good news, the guy was awake for that play.

Sidenote: If my wife let me sleep through extra innings, I would immediately divorce her.
