The Absolute Worst Free Throw In The History Of Basketball

Sometime we get a little excited on this website. We frequently make reference to the “best” or the “worst” things in sports. We love to tell you about the “hottest” girls we’ve ever seen. There is one thing I’m confident in telling you tonight — this is absolutely, without a doubt the worst free throw attempt in the history of basketball.

This isn’t just an airball.

This isn’t a brick.

I don’t know what this is.

The shooter is Appalachian State’s seven-foot Junior center Brian Okam. I put together the little diagram on the right to illustrate the exact path the ball took.
