During the first half of the Pac-12 Championship, UCLA freshman Shabazz Muhammad drove to the basketball on a fast-break but was called for an offensive foul. Despite being only down 6 points to the Oregon Ducks, UCLA head coach Ben Howland was so upset with the call that he launched his jacket three rows deep into the stands.

Howland was called for a technical foul, his first one in his 10-year career with UCLA. On the bright side, he did get his jacket back.

UCLA ended up losing to Oregon, 78–69, and Howland admitted to be embarrassed over the incident after the game.

“I was very embarrassed by that to lose my composure. It’s a terrible example for our team to have their coach behave in such a manner. We’re always going to have bad calls. I definitely thought that wasn’t a call that was called correctly, but you’re going to have calls like that. …I told the team at halftime and after the game that that was a terrible example for them. We have to play through adversity. We’ve done a great job all season long with all sorts of adversity.”
