Virginia Tech’s Turkey Helmets Just Won Thanksgiving

The Virginia Tech Hokies football squad is taking on Boston College today and with Thanksgiving just a few days away, the Hokies debuted a brand new helmet design. A white helmet, with a pencil-thin numbers on one side and a flexing turkey on the other. Its pretty awesome. The picture was tweeted out by the VT Equipment Room, who apparently have their own Twitter account, with the message “Surprise Hokie Nation.”

Let me tell you, College Football has really stepped up their game this year when it comes to helmet designs. You may remember a few weeks ago, Okalahoma State rocked “Pistol Pete” on their helmets.
