What Country Did This…Thing Play For
The 2012 Summer Olympics in London came to an end last night with a very entertaining closing ceremony. Well, besides the parts that NBC cut out (performance from Muse, you know that band who created the official theme song for the Olympics) or didn’t show (The Who) until after debuting their crappy sitcom Animal Practice. Most of the time these closing and opening ceremonies just bore me to tears, but London made it odd, fun and celebrity filled.
The most bizarre thing, that I did not see or notice, during NBC’s broadcast is this Swamp Thing that lurked through the crowd.
I first saw the image below of the swap thing via a link at our friends at BustedCoverage.com website early Monday morning.
After, I scanned the internet for hours and re-watched most of the closing ceremony trying to get more information or even a better screen shot of this thing. No luck. I’m assuming this was from the BBC’s or another countries broadcast of the ceremony. Although, if I hadn’t found the two different pictures, I would’ve sworn it was photoshopped.
I have so many questions about this! Why is no one around this thing even paying attention to it? Where is it from? Did it medal? Is this just a burn victim that I’m going to feel really bad for once I found out about it? Is this what happens if you have too much sex in the Olympic village?
Even the first picture in our article was hidden somewhere on a Huffington Post page about the closing ceremony but don’t bother looking for the picture on the site…you won’t find it.
Bizarre.
