Why Do Playoff Loses = Terrible Hats for Quarterbacks

I don’t understand this new trend of NFL quarterbacks wearing terrible hats in post-game press conferences after their team loses in the playoffs. It started last week with Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger wore an ugly fedora that would make Ted Knight cringe. Now, Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers rocking the old man/Irish mafia/Payne Stewart golf hat after losing to the New York Giants.

I guess its to take away from their teams losing in upsets. I heard The Departed 2 might be looking for some extras!
