I stumble through the journey
With darkness at my back
Light shines through the foliage
Exposing a wondrous sight
In a hidden valley
Of effervescent green
The beauty overwhelms
As my mind takes in the view
Thoughts swirl and meld
To elucidate the irrational
They’re instead are joined by wonder
Stirring inside my soul
Emotions fill my heart
Bursting forth from within
Insistence of deliverance
To the beauty in front of me
Pen glides to paper
One word at a time
Who am I to deny
When inspiration demands release.
