Here are twenty (20) reasons to believe the foregoing proposition. You are free to share your thoughts afterwards.

  1. It is better to be hungry than to be ill. Hunger is a sign of health. The ill do not often have appetite for food.
  2. It is better to lose a job than lose your life. The living could get another, if not a better job.
  3. It is better to be down and happy than be up and sad. Happiness has all the ingredients to lift one up. Sadness has all the tools to drag one down.
  4. It is better to be foolish than to be mad. A fool needs a wise counsel to become wise while a mad man needs a psychiatric emergency to be treated.
  5. It is better to be poor and hopeful than be rich and hopeless. The hopeful could wait for his time and turn. The hopeless could commit suicide.
  6. It is better to be nobody than somebody. This is because “Nobody is perfect.”
  7. It is better to be learned for a leadership position without any than to be in leadership position without being learned for it.
