The street was blocked off due to an earlier accident, and my bus was diverted.
Had I made a left at the intersection — as I usually do — I would have caught my bus before the diversion.
But, alas, I made a right, and by the time I discovered the barricaded street, it was too late to trek back to get the bus.
With a 10-minute wait for the next bus versus a 15-minute walk home, I opted for the latter, knowing the extra time outdoors would compromise my already allergy-ridden body.
