The project is the largest microtransit contract ever awarded

  • Last week, the three-year project was approved by Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s Board of Directors
  • The project will expand ride-hailing technology to all public transit customers, including historically underserved communities and residents of areas where fixed-route transit is infrequent or unavailable
  • “This… is the perfect way for [LA Metro]… to test out a new, more flexible way for riders to make short trips to the store, to school, to the doctor or to connect with our bus and rail lines, without adding to congestion on the roads”
    — Phillip A. Washington, CEO of L.A. Metro
