Pedalfest!
Bike East Bay’s celebration of cycling, family, food, and fun on Saturday, July 22, 11am-6pm
Pedalfest is presented by Bay Area Bicycle Law and Drake’s Brewing. Roll on down to Jack London Square for bicycle shenanigans, an amphibious bike race, dare-devil stunts, art bikes, and live music on a pedal-powered stage. Here are some of the wild, wacky, and wonderful bicycles you won’t want to miss at Pedalfest.
Amphibious Bike Race
Splash! Brought to you by veterans of Humboldt County’s Kinetic Sculpture Race, the amphibious bike race will take place in Jack London Square AND the Oakland estuary. Come watch these human-powered, amphibious vehicles get wet and win glory at Pedalfest.
Trek eBike Test Track
Buzzed on electric bikes? Come take a spin at our eBike Test Track, presented by Trek Bicycles. From commuters and cruisers to mountain bikes, we’re bringing electric bikes for every kind of rider. Find the test track next to bike valet at the Broadway entrance to Jack London Square.
WhymCycles
WhymCycles are artful contraptions you can pedal with your hands, scoot like a skateboard, or even bounce like a trampoline. This handbuilt, pedal-powered menagerie is the brainchild of Davis-based tinkerer Pete Wagner. Be sure to stop by to watch WhymCyclists of all ages cranking, rolling, and bouncing along. Try lassoing one for yourself!
