We’ve partnered with ST Engineering to create the global collaborative framework for mobility-as-a-service systems and to bring on-demand, self-driving technology and transportation infrastructure to Singapore’s smart cities. We invite other global partners to join us to revolutionize the future of transport.

Last month, we launched out of stealth with a Series A led by Sequoia and we also announced a partnership with Autonomic, a cloud mobility platform developing Ford’s Transportation Mobility Cloud.

Today, we are ecstatic to share the news that we’ll be working with ST Engineering, a global technology, defense and engineering group with headquarters in Singapore on:

  1. A global collaborative framework devoted to bringing safe, efficient, autonomous transportation systems to the world at scale, and
  2. A pilot project in Sentosa, Singapore, where our technology (including real-time autonomous vehicle routing, estimated time of arrival (ETA) calculations, dispatch services, supply positioning, and multi-rider trip planning) will help power STE’s self-driving busses via their Smart City infrastructure.

We see this partnership as the beginning of a new era in the industry, and a critical step towards bringing millions of self driving vehicles to the world. Our and STE’s vision is to create a comprehensive Traffic Control System for Next Generation Transport that will involve an ecosystem of partners providing regulatory support, fleet management cloud services, vehicle technology, operations, and both technological and physical infrastructure. With the help of future global partners, we believe this collaborative framework will deliver the comprehensive on-demand mobility system that will enable technology providers, TNCs, OEMs, and governments to work together to safely manage a city’s transportation services end-to-end.

Singapore is the perfect place for us to start the global collaborative framework and pilot our collaboration. As a country with a quickly growing population and limited physical space, autonomous transportation systems and the robust, efficient infrastructure that must accompany them will be key to maintaining a thriving society. Singapore is one of the most forward-thinking nations in the world with integral aspects of the infrastructure already in place thanks to their Smart Nation Initiative — urban planning efforts include “car-lite” new towns that are predominantly run on self-driving transport, and the Prime Minister of Singapore is providing governmental support to expedite the roll-out of self driving vehicles

To successfully roll out self-driving transportation at scale, we will need to work with organizations from around the world to build a truly comprehensive solution. We feel honored to be part of this global collaborative framework that will bring us closer to realizing a driverless world. We invite any partners that want to join the ecosystem to contact us at contact@rideos.ai
