Two Cute Kid Stories
1. I picked up a man and his daughter. She was coming to stay with him for the weekend. He was asking her how school was going and she said it was going great. She said that she was the best in her class in Science, Math, and History. She said she was much smarter than most of the other kids in her class. Then she said the only thing she did not like was that she had to go FIVE days a week and only had TWO days off to do what she wanted.
Her father then told her that that was no different than being an adult. He worked 5 days a week and only had 2 off. You could feel the life go out of her as she said, “So when I am done with school it will just be the same.” It was both sad and funny as the realities of life hit her.
2. I picked up a woman and her 3 daughters from Sam’s Club. They had bought tons of groceries and we packed every inch of my car with them. When we got to their house, I helped them unload. The youngest was very small and could barely walk.. she looked like Grogu (baby yoda) walking. But she tried to help. She started with a small bundle of bananas. Then a drink bottle.
At the end, all that was left was a huge package of toilet paper. It was bigger than her, but she was trying to lift it.. so I lifted one end to help and she thought she was doing it all by herself. When we put it down on the porch she laughed and clapped for herself. We all clapped for her also.
