Food, Fish & Family: Louvine Art & Street Food

We have been spending some time in the Landes and on the Côte Basque in France recently. We’ve taken the opportunity to enjoy the local scene while here. Last night we visited the Vie Aquatic art expo and street food gathering at Louvine in Seignosse. Louvine is a bar, restaurant and fisherman’s gathering place. They serve quality food and drinks while spreading the word about preserving local fish species and the practice of sustainable fishing. These are ideas that RideWithLocal can stand by and are happy to support.

Some of the best food trucks and local chefs gathered under the setting sun to let the people taste quality local, organic and/or vegan food. Food for eyes in the form of fish art was cooked up by artists like Peter Perch, Rasmus Tikkanen and and Massimo Leonari. Music was provided by local youth and some DJ’s to accompany the delicious art and food. After spending a little time in the area you start to realize why people move here, settle down and make babies. This art de vivre in Aquitaine is something we could sure get used to…
