The year is 2020. A Fortune 500 marketer, running on sugar-free Red Bulls and Flaming-Hot Funyuns, is flustered trying to abracadabra lackluster data into a first-class customer experience. They check their Swatch: it’s 7:30 p.m.

“This is really harshing my mellow,” she says, blowing a raspberry. “I wish I was at home watching The Masked Singer.”

Sounds like a job for Habu: the marketer’s secret weapon that makes automation, personalization, and privacy easy like a Sunday morning. With marketing more nebulous than ever and CMO tenure trending down — the average CMO lasts just 43 months — Habu is plenty capable of righting the ship.

🚢 The ship-righting will be much easier since Habu recently scored a $15 million round led by super{set}, followed by those wild mountaineers over at Ridge Ventures.

Today’s marketers need all the easy they can get. Most of them depend on outdated marketing stacks that offer limited insights, little to no automation, and minimal compatibility with other tools. Meanwhile, consumers want the full spa day treatment from the products and services they use, but the data needed to create these personalized experiences is limited by privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, WTF, etc.). And don’t forget the FAANG gang, whose monopoly of the advertising pie makes quality data even harder to come by.

Outgunned marketers, bereft of Big-Five firepower, are forced to improvise with last-click attribution and fragmented customer data, akin to piecing together a red carpet outfit from secondhand clothes.

Not a good look.

⌘ We prefer the Habu way. Rather than relying on insufficient data from digital ad platforms, and spending precious ad dollars in the process, marketers can tap Habu for individualized insights and automated recommendations that significantly boost conversions. This streamlining also makes first-party data growth a cinch, while, again, abiding by those almighty privacy acronyms. Habu further solidifies its status as martech maestro with omnichannel orchestration that synthesizes data from multiple platforms to generate tailored customer experiences across the board.

Habu’s Marketing Data Operating System (MDOS)

All of this is made possible thanks to Habu’s interoperability. Like the rare toddler who gets along with all of the babies in the playpen, Habu can integrate with, and enhance, existing marketing stacks. It’s the key differentiator of Habu’s Marketing Data Operating System (MDOS), a modular collection of tools that can operate independently, or collectively as one big marketing megalodon. No matter how unique a brand’s advertising/marketing needs are, Habu is game.

Habu’s founding team.
Habu execs, left to right: co-founder/CTO Vivek Vaidya; co-founder/COO Mike Moreau; co-founder/CEO Matt Kilmartin, and co-founder/Executive Chairman Tom Chavez.

Behind Habu’s landmark marketing software is a team of Martech OGs. The formidable squad of (Brain) Power Rangers and Ridge BFFs includes Matt Kilmartin, co-founder/CEO; Vivek Vaidya, co-founder/CTO; Mike Moreau, co-founder/COO; and Tom Chavez, co-founder/Executive Chairman. These savvy enterprise veterans account for 50+ years of martech experience; some of that time spent at Salesforce and Krux, a Ridge portfolio company acquired by Salesforce for nearly $1 billion, and Rapt, acquired by Microsoft.

Vaidya and Chavez both co-founded super{set} studio as well. Between Krux, Salesforce, super{set}, and now Habu, this leadership team is as interoperable as its marketing software; these are four longtime B2B sharpshooters (and buds) linking up for yet another enterprise blockbuster.

Marketing? It’s hard. Simplifying it with a smart marketing solution? Harder. But Habu pulled off the upset, and we’re humbled to be part of the celebration. We have a feeling marketers are pretty happy, too.

👉 P.S. Habu is bolstering its team with engineering and sales talent. Want to be a Habuckaroo? Drop them a line!
