Great news for the Rigel Protocol community! Our Dev team is now finishing the integration with the Polygon Matic network.

Polygon combines the best of Ethereum and sovereign blockchains into a full-fledged multi-chain system. It solves pain points associated with Blockchains, like high gas fees and slow speeds, without sacrificing on security and combining the best of Ethereum and sovereign blockchains into an attractive feature set.

5 million RGP on Ethereum will be burned and minted on the Polygon Matic network on the 8th January, 2022.

The RGP tokenomics on Polygon will be as follows:

Maximum Supply: 5 Million RGP

Reserves: 1,300,000 RGP

The Polygon Network functionalities will be incorporated to the Rigel Protocol ecosystem applications like SmartSwap and the GiftDapp, and the subsequent integrations with other applications and features in development like the margin Exchange and Smart Bid.

With Polygon, any project can easily spin-up a dedicated blockchain network which combines the best features of stand-alone blockchains (sovereignty, scalability and flexibility) and Ethereum (security, interoperability and developer experience). Additionally, these blockchains are compatible with all the existing Ethereum tools (Metamask, MyCrypto, Remix etc), and can exchange messages among themselves and with Ethereum.

Well, we saved the best for last. Our very own native token (RGP) would be coming live on the polygon network to facilitate all our Dapps. All RGPs Holders and Stakers (RGP Liquidity Providers) on both Ethereum and Binance Smart chain would receive 1/10 of their held amount(this means for 10 RGPs you hold you receive 1 on the polygon network via the same address).
