Daniel Leetin Shaver of Granbury, Texas was fatally shot by officer Phillip Brailsford on January 18, 2016. The shooting occurred in the hallway of the La Quinta Inn & Suites hotel in Mesa, Arizona after police responded to a report of a rifle being pointed out the window of Shaver’s hotel room.
